Health Programmes

Her programmes will include diet charts for clients suffering from the following disorders:

Gastro Intestinal Disorders: These are digestive disorders that interfere with the working of the intestine

It falls into 2 categories:

a) Functional - which includes Irritable Bowel Syndrome,Chronic Diarrhoea,Constipation etc.

b) Inflammatory - which includes Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome,Crohn’s Disease & Ulcerative Colitis

For these disorders, i will provide a modified or soft diet which is easy to absorb & digest.

Obesity: A proper body weight is most conducive to good health but a body weight beyond certain limits is not only detrimental to health but also predisposes to many disorders, so to avoid this i recommend neither binging nor eating less, but eating the right kind of food at the right time.

Having 7-8 meals in a day without skipping any meal, including lots of fibre-rich food in the diet along with some form of physical exercise will give the desired results.

Hypertension: is a chronic medical condition in which blood pressure in the arteries is elevated. This is also referred to as a Silent Killer.

High blood pressure puts a strain on the heart & the circulatory system, which ultimately causes damage to many parts of the body.Normal blood pressure should be around 120/80 mm Hg.

Hypertension can be treated medically by changing lifestyle factors, which include losing weight, quitting smoking, eating a balanced diet, reducing sodium intake, exercising & limiting alcohol consumption.

Diabetes Mellitus - is a metabolic disease in which a person has high blood sugar, either because the body does not produce enough insulin, or because cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced.

In diabetes, the amount of food intake especially carbohydrates, should be controlled to prevent fluctuation of blood glucose beyond the normal range. So i basically recommend people to avoid fasting & feasting. Intake of refined sugar should be low as blood sugar level rises sharply after consumption.

Lastly, proper adjustments should be made for exercise & appetite to lead a healthy lifestyle.
